Date Raised : 1987-07-01
the Units was raised at AF Stn Hindan in Jul 1987. The Units was formed under the able command of Gp Capt HS Ahluwalia, VM. In Mar 1991, the command of the Units was revised to Wg Cdr Commanding. The Units when formed was assigned with various op and peace time roles which included Spl Heliborne Ops, VVIP/VIP Communication, Courier flights for HP Govt. and Flypast on ceremonial occasions like Republic Day, Independence Day, Air Force Day etc. "NUBRA WARRIORS" have the exclusive honour of colour trooping the National Flag on all these occasions.
